Application was a joy. The consistency of Sophisticated Santa is fluid, light and silky smooth with a thin-to-medium viscosity and a graceful slip over the nail that is easily finessed with Powder Perfect's sleekly compact flattened-style brush. Pigmentation is excellent, nearly a one-coater but you'll definitely want two for best holographic effects. Cleanup was surprisingly easy, a bit of pigment travel as you might expect but trace staining is remarkably low-key. Sophisticated Santa dries naturally in good time to a smooth shiny finish. Topcoat does not inhibit the holographic effects in any way.
Photos show two coats of Sophisticated Santa over KBShimmer Love You Strong Time treatment and Pretty Serious All Your Base basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Despite the Christmas correlation, this makes a stunning summertime polish. It combines the smoldering glamour and sensuality of a deep warm red with the stunning visual fireworks of a holo. Total hotness! And there's a certain natural, earthy quality to it as well that coexists beautifully alongside the extravagance, giving it a pleasingly deft and grounded vibe. This is one well-rounded, charismatic red. I love it!

DeleteLara, as pretty as the photos are, this polish is SO MUCH BETTER in person! It's an absolutely fantastic smoldering red holo with incredible depth, just to die for! It's the kind of polish that when you take it off, you immediately want to put it back on. Killer!
