Glam Polish Happily Ever After

Like Far Far Away and Enchanted Forest, Happily Ever After was released at the beginning of this month by Australian indie polish maker Glam Polish as part of the Forever After collection, a series of twelve polishes inspired by the magic of fairytales. This is the official coral of the collection, so you know it had to be one of my picks. It's described as a watermelon coral, but I think that there's more orange to it than that. To my eye, the color is a creamy orange-red variation of coral, something along the lines of an orange tea rose or congo pink. It is packed with holographic microflakes and tiny ultra holo glitters, giving the color a delicately stippled appearance. In ambient light, there's a holographically-generated flush of misty guava pink to the look, which twinkles with sparks in orange, yellow and azure. Direct sun elicits a dazzling blanket of bright prismatic sparkle.

Application was fantastic! The consistency of Happily Ever After is fluid and remarkably smooth for being as loaded with components as it is, with a medium viscosity and a lush, loamy glide over the nail. It likes to go on in medium coats and self-levels beautifully. Pigmentation is excellent, it's almost a one-coater but you'll want two for most even opacity and best holographic effects. Cleanup is fairly straightforward, mostly a matter of chasing down rogue glitters. Happily Ever After dries naturally in very good time to a gentle sandy-textured finish that is mostly smoothed by a single layer of topcoat.

Photos show two coats of Happily Ever After over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Lush and tropical and delightfully sparkly in the sun, this is a beautiful polish. It's got the fruity/floral thing down pat! Another wonderful lacquer from the Forever After collection!

love,
