Application was great. The consistency of Figgy Pudding is fluid and smooth, with a little bit of jelly-like stickiness developing with exposure to air (easily remedied by closing the bottle and giving it a shake every now and then). It has an easy, self-leveling flow over the nail and though sheer at the outset builds nicely to opacity in three coats. Cleanup is easy except for the flakies, which do like to stick to cuticles and skin. No trace of staining to report. Figgy Pudding dries naturally in fairly good time to a smooth shiny finish. Topcoat enhances the colors of the flakies.

As much as I love Noelie's impeccably crafted microglitters and holos, I'm thrilled with this flame-imbued flakie shimmer polish. I'm particularly impressed with it's carefully balanced construction and the perfect amount of translucence to the violet base. The color shift of the flakies is the consummate touch, it brings the analogous flame colors together with the deep blue-purple of a fading sunset. Wonderful!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Marisa! You know, when I went looking for pictures of real figgy pudding, which is kind of like fruitcake ladled with flaming brandy, I was surprised and impressed to to see how well the concept played out in this polish. Made me love it even more!
