Nire's Desire Love Comes Again

Like We Are Alive, Love Comes Again was released by Colorado-based indie polish maker Nire's Desire as part of the Techno Collection Phase One. It is a glamorous medium-dark red violet holo with burgundy undertones and a strong holographic flair. As with Jezebel and We Are Alive, Love Comes Again is richly dimensional and exhibits a variety of analogous color nuancing: blue, violet, royal purple, plum, deep fuchsia, burgundy and red all make appearances, often simultaneously. In some lights it even throws a brilliant copper flash! This is a dramatic, passionate, mercurial polish with a bold character and a fiery heart.

Application was wonderful. I won't know how to act when I come across a fussy polish again! The consistency of Love Comes again is fluid, light, silky and easy to manipulate, with superb flow over the nail and excellent self-leveling properties. Pigmentation is outstanding. I believe you could possibly get away with one coat of this one, but I used two. Love Comes Again sets quickly and I found it wanting to pull patches if overworked while wet, but it applies so smoothly and easily there should be little need for more than your basic three strokes. I'm in the habit of wrapping my tips with every coat, but with these Nire's Desire polishes I've amended that to wrapping on the first coat only so I'm not messing around with my tips on the second. Love Comes Again dries naturally in very good time to a lovely glossy finish. As with the other holos from this brand, topcoat did not diminish or detract in any way from the holographic properties.

Look at that rainbowy holographic goodness! Wearing this in direct sun is like having fireworks explode on your tips. I don't know what kind of holo pigments they use at Nire's Desire, but it's good stuff! And once again we have a beautiful composition with a carefully balanced ratio of color to holographic pigments. Enough color to provide for a rich, vibrant base and enough holo for gorgeous prismatic nuancing of the base and an incendiery holographic display in direct light.

If you love purple, burgundy or deep reddish purple polishes generally, you need Love Comes Again in your life!
