China Glaze Agro

Agro was released by China Glaze as part of The Hunger Games Capitol Colors collection for spring 2012. It's a wonderful medium-dark golden olive green shimmer polish with leafy green, copper and gold shimmers and a metallic looking finish. This is a stylish, sophisticated green that is very flattering on the nail.

The consistency is liquid but with enough viscosity to prevent it from running and pooling. It applies smoothly and evenly and is self-leveling. Agro dries in good time to a smooth finish and unlike a lot of shimmer polishes this one pulls no patches, even if you apply a second coat while the first is still wet. Brushstrokes are slightly apparent, but they disappear under topcoat. Pigmentation is excellent and full coverage can be achieved in one thick coat or two thinner ones.

Photos show two medium coats of Agro over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Doesn't it look lavish in the sun? So rich! In shade, it is smooth and sleek. It feels very upscale and modern and chic on the nail and makes me want to go shopping with a large aubergine leather clutch. Or maybe it makes me want to go shopping FOR a large aubergine leather clutch....

love,
Aunt Liz
